Sloan, John
(1871 Lock Haven, PA-1951 Hanover, NH) (USA)
   Painter and art teacher. Initially a self-taught artist, he also studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts under T. Anshultz. Part of the renowned Ashcan School, he has been called the "American Hogarth."
